I have been nominated by the lovely Elizabeth Anne Norris to take part in the Brighton Etsy Team blog hop.

4 questions asked and answered and then I will nominate someone else. Happy reading.

What inspired you to start your business or Etsy shop?

I decided I wanted to start an Etsy shop after I fell in love with sewing a few years ago, I then fell pregnant with my son and started to make blankets , bibs and hats . I thought of how nice it is not to have everything mass produced and decided that I would sell baby items. Here are a few of the first things I started to make.

We’re looking at goals in the Brighton Etsy Team this month (you can follow along with #btnetsygoals!) Can you share one of your goals for your shop for the next six months?

My goals of the next six months , are to develop some new products more for toddlers to expand my range from just babywares. I hope to try and make some fun thing, games / toys.... watch this space.


What are you working on at the moment?

At the moment I have been working on some new onsies , with interchangeable bow ties. I did a craft fair recently and got some good feedback . I may do some adjustments and more options . Take a look at this was at The Open Market,London Rd.

If you could give other sellers or someone looking to start their own design/craft business one piece of advice, what would you say?

If I could give anyone any advice , I would say be as involved with teams and events as you can, everyone is so friendly and willing to help and give advice. Also keep at social media , an hour a day really does make a difference to your shop. Also craft fairs are really useful for getting a good sense of what people like and ideas for new products.

Busy Busy Busy !!!!

Well I haven't been great at my blogging but I have been busy getting things ready for the new baby. We've moved around rooms in our flat so there is more space in the Kids room to play and I've been pinning loads to keep my ideas on track. Take a look at my nursery board.

Now I just have to bring my ideas together , I'll hopefully be able to update with a picture in a few week, Ive only got 6 weeks to go until my Due Date ........ eekk !!!!!!!

On top of that Baby Loveday No. 1 aka Munchki has had his first hair cut, and moved to his toddler bed ... he's growing up so quickly .....sob....sob..., and he's been pulling his nappies off so will have to start potty training soon, he's only 17 months and it seems he's had so many developments in the past couple of weeks , no one tells you it can all happen at once.


On another note , because I obviously love to give myself loads to do , so I have been preparing for my last craft fair before babies due. Brighton Craft Alliance , next Sunday 8th , The Open Market , London Rd.

Im working on a new item , Interchangeable bow tie onsies . I'm finishing those in a few days so will post pics of the finished item , really excited because they are going to be super cute !!! I hope you all think they are to xx. Hope to see lots of people there ,come and have a chat.

Well thats me for today now looking on the monitor and Munchki has decided that drawers are no place for his clothes , the floor is a much better idea.....

Its a New Year , It's a New Dawn and I'm Feeling Good....

Well if it wasn't for this niggling sore throat I would . Anyway New Year. I have made a resolution this year to BE MORE ORGANISED .... with Baby Loveday No 2 due in March and my aspirations to not have to go back to the day job after Maternity leave and really make a go of my business this year, I am going to have to be organised.

I was lucky enough to be involved with the Brighton Etsy Team last year with the Pop Up store and Christmas Market

And I hope to be involved in may more events this year.

I must confess I am a fan of lists so here is my first list of the new year.

- Post on blog at least once a week
- Get new products photographed and on Etsy store
- Make Baby Loveday No.2 blanket
- Decorate Nursery


I think that should keep me busy until due date in March ...... so I will keep you updated on my progress.
